WE ALL KNOW MARRIAGES INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF OUR CHURCH ARE HURTING. Studies show that 50% of marriages will end in divorce. And those that do stay together often experience the stress of Today’s World. Shadle Park Presbyterian will have a great program that can provide churches and friends an ideal opportunity to offer encouragement, guidance and healing.

The Marraige Course

September 12th, there will be an evening to introduce "The Marriage Course", a very practical course from the church and people that brought the Alpha Course, which many of you know for its clear message of the Gospel. The Marriage Course is very practical, giving any married couple the tools to build a strong and healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime.
Over seven evenings spent together couples talk about important issues that can get swept under the carpet in the rush of daily life.

THE THREE CENTRAL INGREDIENTS OF THE COURSE: *Making Time for each other * Appreciating our differences *Discovering what makes our husband of wife feel loved

Topics covered will include:

Building strong foundations
The art of communication
Resolving Conflict
The power of forgiveness

Parents and in-laws
Good Sex
How to put love in Action with the Love Languages
Privacy as a couple is always respected. There is no group discussion and no requirement to disclose anything about your relationship to anyone else. Each evening begins with a candlelit setting and nourishment. There is then a talk followed by an opportunity to discuss the topictogether as a couple.

WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?

This program for any married couple who wants to build a strong and lasting relationship, but we invite especially:
- Those who want to enhance their marriage
- Those at a challenging stage in their marriage, such as the birth of a child, a career change, job loss, those in the first five years of marriage, teenagers at home, the “empty nest” time
- Those struggling with issues in their marriage.
