Garage Giveaway

Coming as part of Faith in Action will be our “Garage Giveaway” set for October 17th,– start putting aside stuff you would like to donate! Some Ideas: furniture, household items, decorating and holiday items, clothing, small and large appliances. Items need to be clean, and in working order. More details coming closer to the event.)

Westminster Food Bank has a GREAT need

At this point, they are unable to
purchase needed food from 2nd Harvest Food Bank. HOW YOU CAN HELP: Funds are needed: every dollar donated buys $10 worth of food. Your gifts of food donations are gladly accepted too. Thanks in advance for your generosity.

Mission Community Outreach Center

Are you or your Christ Care group looking for an Outreach project? Connie Lee volunteers at the Mission Community Outreach Center and spends her free time washing, ironing and mending donated toys and clothing. The need is great and her time is limited. If you would like to assist in some or all of this process, please call the church office at 327-5522. The work can be done in your home and as time permits. It’s a great opportunity to serve the Lord and our community.

Faith-In-Action

Faith-In-Action Needs: If you have a project you would like to submit for consideration for our fall Faith-In-Action day, please contact Patty Hendrickson or Wayne Clemm. We would like projects where the community can be involved as well as our church members. In the meantime, be gathering together items you would like to donate to the church garage give away.

WANT TO JOIN THE CHURCH?

Have you been attending Shadle Park Presbyterian for a while? Would you like to join the church? From time to time we offer an Inquirers’ Class for people to explore what it means to be a member (without any obligation to join). We look at: What is a Christian? How can I be sure of my faith? How can I grow in my faith? What does it mean to be Presbyterian? What is distinctive about Shadle Park? What are some opportunities for fellowship and service? You won’t be put on the spot. We would love to have you explore these topics with us and experience fellowship with other inquirers and the pastoral staff along the way.

Women of Faith "Imagine"

Save the dates Sept. 17 and 18th for the 2010 Women of Faith “Imagine” conference which will be at the Spokane Arena. This weekend event includes. Friday 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and 7 - 9:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. For more info contact: Geri Warner 326-5318 or geriwarner@sbcglobal.net

Beth Moore

Beth Moore is coming to Spokane at the end of October 2010. Tana St. Marie has agreed to be point person for this event but would love someone to work with her. There is an information meeting Thursday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Crossover Church. For more information, call Eileen in the church office at 327-5522.
