World Relief Spokane Volunteer Training
World Relief Spokane is committed to serving our local refugees in every aspect of their journey to a new home in a welcoming community. We at Shadle Park Pres can help those efforts by becoming a part of a ‘good neighbor team’. The benefits of a good neighbor team are that Shadle will have a core group of volunteers to help refugees in many ways, including shopping with them, taking them to appointments, etc. We will have team members to share the help. WR is having a volunteer training class on Tuesday June 20, at the world relief office from 6 to 8pm. Please RSVP to Nancy Goodwin at 321 1884 or firstname.lastname@example.org and also please let Lori Rogers at 509-294-1632 know if you are able to go and we can possibly coordinate car pool efforts.

Growing Neighbors is about partnering with local organizations in growing relationships and produce with our local neighbors to encourage healthier lifestyles. The primary goal is developing “Neighborhood Families.” We want to see neighbors sharing meals and resources, using their gifts to care for each others’ needs, and generally functioning more like an extended family.
